Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking dedicated Paramedics to join the Special Operations Response Teams (SORT). The role involves direct patient care in high-risk environments, clinical assessment, triage and initial treatment, plus extrication in challenging settings, with annual calls around 9000.

Applicants must be HCPC registered with at least 2 years frontline experience post NQP, strong clinical competency, and be prepared for multi-agency operations and rigorous security/vetting processes.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered paramedics with a minimum of 2 years frontline experience post NQP period at close of application.
• Demonstrate significant frontline experience and maintain a high level of clinical competency.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to work with other paramedics and incident response teams.
