We have an opportunity for a Sonographer to join their team in the Imaging department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, requiring you to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover during staff absences.

Duties of this role include:

1. Participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing high-quality ultrasound services.
2. Perform diagnostic ultrasound scans within your scope of competence, ensuring high technical and quality standards.
3. Assist in planning and maintaining workflow within the department.
4. Complete and maintain departmental records, including patient charges.
5. Contribute to Quality Assurance tests within the Imaging Department.
6. Participate in supervision, training, and peer review within your area of expertise.
7. Report equipment malfunctions and undertake actions to ensure safety.
8. Follow departmental policies, protocols, and SOPs.
9. Complete all mandatory training requirements.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

1. Broad sonography competencies aligned with the role.
2. Experience in autonomous practice and independent reporting.
3. Experience in customer care, including challenging situations.
4. Diploma in medical ultrasound (DMU) or Post-graduate certificate/diploma.
5. Ability to assess, scan, diagnose, and report ultrasound cases, maintaining accurate records.
6. Understanding of safe clinical practice and associated responsibilities.
7. Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and ergonomic practices.
8. Experience in abdominal, renal, and gynecological sonographic examinations.
