Job Opportunity: Casual Sommeliers

We are seeking several Casual Sommeliers to join our team at Aramark, delivering all food and beverage services at Everton Stadium.

Role Overview

The sommelier will work closely with the restaurant team to recommend wines that complement the food menu and provide customers with exceptional wine experiences. The role includes training staff about wines and service, ensuring smooth delivery of wine services during events, especially matchdays. This role is ideal for someone passionate about wine, knowledgeable, attentive to guest experience, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Follow health & safety protocols and promote a safety culture.
• Be aware of allergen information passed from supervisors/managers during matchdays.
• Maintain knowledge of alcohol laws, regulations, and industry trends.
• Oversee inventory control, wine storage, and stock rotation.
• Set up and breakdown bar stations, delivering premium service.
• Engage proactively with guests to ensure a first-class experience and promote wine sales.
• Address guest feedback promptly and communicate improvements to management.
• Monitor stock levels, wastage, and stock transfers throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Certification from a recognized wine education program and experience in fine dining as a sommelier or similar role.
• Flexible approach to working hours, attention to detail, and passion for wine.
• Calm, resilient, problem-solver, and team player.
• Knowledge of restaurant and bar operations.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
