Job summary

Marex is seeking a finance professional to join the Solutions division in London to manage daily P&L reconciliations, balance sheet substantiation and month-end close. You will collaborate with Valuation, Risk, Front Office and Legal entities to ensure accurate reporting and controls.

The role emphasizes finance transformation, process improvements and building out trade flows to the General Ledger, with FCA regulatory compliance at the fore.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
• Good understanding of Structured Derivatives essential, preferably Structured Equities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with Management, Front Office, Legal, Operations and Risk.
• Ability to pinpoint root cause issues and work under deadlines.
• Experience with Python/SQL or Alteryx is a plus.
• Experience in a regulated environment and knowledge of risk/compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily P&L reconciliation and controls for the Solutions business, including accurate reporting of Greeks and P&L to front office and senior management.
• Work with Valuation and Risk to calculate and verify adjustments (CVA, DVA, FVA, Bid/Offer).
• Analyze full profit before tax and provide monthly desk economics commentary to Management.
• Provide PL/BS commentary to Legal entity control team during month end analysis.
• Ensure month end manual accounting adjustments are posted for OTCs and Structured notes.
• Ensure balance sheet substantiation monthly.
• Drive finance transformation and process improvements across support and control functions.
• Assist in building out trade flows from Front Office system to the General Ledger.
• Ensure compliance with FCA regulatory requirements.
