Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Solutions Design Manager to lead end-to-end warehouse design projects, focusing on automation and smart solutions. You will drive data-driven layouts, costings and risk assessments across multi-site deployments.

As a subject matter expert, you will mentor junior designers, steer bids, and ensure alignment of operations with commercial goals while embedding digital thinking and AI across solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Solutions Design Manager or equivalent warehouse design role.
• Proven track record delivering mechanised or automated warehouse solutions.
• Understanding of end-to-end supply chain and capability to define concepts.
• Expertise in data modelling, extrapolating data and problem solving.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication to influence buy-in.
• Ownership mindset and drive for efficiency.
• Knowledge of DHL sectors, customers and products.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end warehouse solutions for existing facilities or new builds, including data analysis and layout design.
• Lead design workstreams from concept to detailed design, costing, risk management and implementation support.
• Manage design and costing phases for significant bids, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assess operational impacts, mitigate risks and provide commercial insights to stakeholders.
• Embed digital thinking with data, automation and AI to drive growth.
• Lead multiple projects, guide junior team members and ensure operational excellence.
• Secure buy-in from cross-functional teams aligning operational, commercial and customer needs.
• Lead peer reviews and provide technical feedback to improve bid quality.
