Job summary

Cathcart Technology is seeking a Solution Architect to lead a major ERP transformation in Edinburgh. You will own the solution design across multiple workstreams and ensure designs are practical and aligned with business needs.

You will evaluate vendor and SI deliverables, work closely with senior tech leaders, and cover integration, data migration, reporting and deployment to drive a successful programme.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale ERP transformation programmes.
• Expertise in architecting across application landscapes, integrations, APIs and data flows.
• Experience governing vendor and SI designs within a Design Authority.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Knowledge of data warehouse design (Lakehouse/Medallion or Star Schema) and AI automation is desirable.

Solution Architect – ERP

Solution Architect required on an initial 6-month contract by our client in Edinburgh.

Your new role:

A major ERP transformation programme needs an experienced Solution Architect to own the solution design across a busy, multi-workstream programme. You’ll turn business requirements into practical, supportable designs, and review and challenge what ERP vendors and systems integrators deliver. You’ll work hands‑on with senior tech leaders and delivery partners, covering integration, data migration, reporting and deployment.

You’ll need:

• Solution Architect experience on large-scale ERP transformation programmes
• Enterprise architecture across application landscapes, integrations, APIs and data flows
• Experience governing vendor and SI designs within a Design Authority
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Lakehouse (Medallion) or Star Schema data warehouse design, and agentic AI automation (desirable)

The Rate:

£500 – £525 per day, hybrid role 2 days onsite, inside IR35, with a good chance of extension.
