Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited seeks a seasoned Solutions Architect to work with banks, custodians and other regulated institutions on next‑generation cryptographic security infrastructure. Lead architecture engagements from discovery to production go‑live and design secure MPC/TSS deployments.

The role spans cloud, on‑prem and hybrid environments, involving threat modelling, compliance mappings and collaboration with CISOs and executive teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in infrastructure or security architecture roles.
• 5+ years owning architecture within regulated financial institutions.
• Strong HSM experience (Thales Luna, AWS CloudHSM, IBM Crypto Express).
• Experience with cloud, on-prem, and hybrid deployments.
• Knowledge of IAM, network segmentation, secrets management, IaC.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, FFIEC, MAS TRM, or DORA.
• Ability to understand cryptographic protocols and MPC/TSS at an architectural level.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer architecture engagements from technical discovery through to production go-live.
• Design secure deployment architectures for MPC/TSS, custody, wallet, and payment processing environments.
• Produce architecture documentation, threat models, compliance mappings, and operational runbooks.
• Support technical workshops, RFP responses, security reviews, and due diligence exercises.
• Engage with CISOs, security teams, compliance stakeholders, and executive leadership teams.
• Translate customer requirements into product, infrastructure, and protocol recommendations.
• Validate architectural decisions through prototyping and technical assessment where required.
• Develop reusable deployment standards for regulated financial environments.
• Support audit, compliance, and regulatory review processes.
