Job summary

Fruition Group is seeking a Solution Architect in Manchester to lead architecture across major transformation programmes, focusing on application modernisation, cloud architecture and integration.

The role requires strong Azure experience, expertise in microservices, APIs, and enterprise integration, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable designs while collaborating with engineering teams and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture across major transformation programmes.
• Design end-to-end solutions across applications, Azure, microservices, APIs and integrations.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure technical designs.
• Support application modernisation and reduce technical debt.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and senior stakeholders on architectural decisions.
• Produce architecture documentation and ensure alignment with standards.
• Provide technical guidance and conduct design reviews.
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI technologies.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with a focus on application architecture and software engineering.
• Strong Azure experience across cloud services and application solutions.
• Experience with microservices, APIs and integration architecture.
• Track record of designing and delivering complex technology solutions.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, design patterns and technical documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with UML, BPMN or enterprise architecture tools would be advantageous.
• Financial services or insurance experience would be beneficial.
