Job summary

Langham Recruitment in Edinburgh partners with a major UK construction and property organisation to deliver a COINS ERP transformation. We seek an experienced Solution Architect to provide architectural leadership across the programme, ensuring the ERP solution is well designed, integrated and governed.

You will define end‑to‑end architecture, review vendor designs, govern integrations, manage risks and data migration, and ensure security, scalability and supportability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Solution Architect with ERP transformation experience.
• Define end-to-end solution architecture across complex landscapes.
• Governance of designs, integrations and technical standards.
• Experience with COINS ERP and BI tooling is highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management and architecture governance.

Edinburgh Based Programme | Flexible Hybrid Working

We're supporting a major UK construction and property organisation undertaking a significant COINS ERP transformation and are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to provide architectural leadership across the programme.

This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring the ERP solution is well designed, integrated effectively with the wider technology landscape and governed through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the end-to-end solution architecture.
• Review and assure designs produced by vendors and implementation partners.
• Design and govern integrations between COINS and connected business systems.
• Drive architecture standards, governance and technical decision-making.
• Identify and manage architectural risks, dependencies and technical debt.
• Support data migration, testing, cutover and deployment activities.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable and supportable.
• Proven Solution Architect experience on ERP transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, APIs and middleware.
• Experience governing solutions delivered by third-party vendors and systems integrators.
• Strong stakeholder management and architecture governance experience.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on delivery levels.
• COINS ERP experience.
• Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, data warehouse or lakehouse architecture experience.
• Experience supporting data migration and reporting workstreams.
• Exposure to AI, automation or business process optimisation initiatives.

Industry Experience

Experience within construction, housebuilding, property, infrastructure or engineering environments would be advantageous.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a major ERP transformation programme and play a key role in shaping the architecture, integrations and technical direction of a business-critical COINS implementation. You'll work closely with stakeholders, suppliers and delivery teams to ensure the solution is robust, scalable and aligned with long-term business objectives.
