Ampstek is seeking a Senior SAP Solution Architect to shape our digital transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. You will define roadmaps, champion a Clean Core via SAP BTP, and connect multi-system environments with CPI while ensuring compliance in aerospace regulations.

Lead architecture across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality, aligning with stakeholders and global delivery teams. This 6-month contract supports a hybrid work model with immediate start in Cardiff area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10+ years of SAP architecture and consulting experience in large enterprise settings.
• Proven architectural experience in Aerospace & Defence, high-tech manufacturing, or aviation engine sectors.
• Proven delivery of full-lifecycle implementations for SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands‑on with SAP BTP environments (Cloud Foundry, Kyma, CAP, SAPUI5/Fiori).
• Deep knowledge of secure integration topologies in SAP CPI / Integration Suite.
• Exposure to SAP PLM, Production Planning, Quality Management, or MRO modules.
• Advanced proficiency with OData APIs, RESTful web services, and Cloud Connector.
• Solid grasp of SAP Activate, Agile frameworks, and cloud-native DevOps pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end target architectures and long-term blueprints for hybrid cloud/on-premise landscapes.

We are seeking a visionary Senior SAP Solution Architect to directly shape our future enterprise solution. In this role, you will define the roadmap for our digital transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring our aviation engine manufacturing and design operations remain agile. Acting as a technical vanguard, you will champion a "Clean Core" architecture by utilizing SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for side-by-side extensions and Cloud Integration (CPI) to connect complex multi-system environments while ensuring strict compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Transition Strategy

• Target Roadmap: Define end-to-end target architectures and long-term blueprints for hybrid cloud/on-premise landscapes.
• Migration Strategy: Design conversion paths, phased rollouts, and coexistence frameworks between legacy SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
• Integration Topology: Architect resilient, scalable, and real-time integration flows (iFlows) utilizing SAP CPI / Integration Suite.

Technical Execution & Governance

• Debt Remediation: Evaluate legacy custom code within SAP ECC and formulate strategy plans to decouple or remediate it.
• Landscape Connectivity: Oversee secure ecosystem connectivity using OData APIs, RESTful web services, and Cloud Connector.
• Technical Oversight: Lead technical assessments, code reviews, and infrastructure configurations to maintain system health.

Functional & System Alignment

• Process Orchestration: Align technical solutions with core business operations across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality sectors.
• Ecosystem Connection: Integrate core SAP functions seamlessly with third-party enterprise platforms (e.g., PLM, CAD, MES, MRO).

Domain & Industry Compliance

• Aerospace Regulations: Ensure all designed solutions strictly adhere to AS9100 quality standards, ITAR, and global export control laws.
• Asset Tracking: Design system logic to manage high-consequence data, including engine part serialization and life-limited component tracking.
• Clean Core Enforcement: Champion standard-first governance, utilizing SAP BTP for application extensions to eliminate core modifications.
• Delivery Frameworks: Infuse modern DevOps pipelines, Agile frameworks, and SAP Activate methodologies into the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

• Trusted Advisory: Serve as a technical bridge, translating complex architectural choices into clear business value for executives.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Lead, mentor, and align global delivery teams, functional analysts, and development partners toward a unified vision.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
