Job summary

Primark is seeking a Solution Architect (RFID) to design and deliver RFID solutions that improve inventory accuracy, stock visibility, and operational efficiency across its global retail estate.

You'll partner with business, technology and delivery teams to shape scalable architectures, govern technical delivery and drive measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Solution Architect in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Proven track record delivering RFID solutions in retail or supply chain contexts.
• Strong understanding of retail tech, inventory management and stock visibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end RFID solution design aligned with business needs and architecture standards.
• Develop and maintain architectures, designs, blueprints and documentation.
• Provide governance and technical leadership throughout delivery lifecycle.
• Collaborate with business, product and engineering teams to define scalable tech solutions.
• Ensure security, performance, resilience and scalability requirements are met.
• Evaluate technologies and vendors, manage technical risks.

What you'll do

• Lead the design of end-to-end RFID solutions aligned with business requirements and enterprise architecture standards.
• Develop and maintain solution architectures, technical designs, blueprints and documentation.
• Provide architectural governance and technical leadership throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.
• Collaborate with business, product and engineering teams to define scalable and sustainable technology solutions.
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, resilience and scalability requirements.
• Evaluate technologies, vendors and solution options, providing recommendations and managing technical risks.
• Support successful implementation and integration of RFID capabilities across retail and supply chain platforms.

What you'll bring

• Strong experience as a Solution Architect within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Proven experience designing and delivering RFID solutions within retail or supply chain operations.
• Deep understanding of retail technology, inventory management and stock visibility processes.
• Experience integrating RFID platforms with enterprise applications and operational systems.
• Strong knowledge of solution architecture principles, frameworks and best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to balance business priorities, technical requirements and delivery objectives in a complex environment.
