Job summary

Primark is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to provide architectural leadership across CRM, customer data, personalisation and engagement capabilities. You will shape architecture strategy for identity, consent, data and marketing technology, partnering with business and tech stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure customer-centric solutions.

Ideal candidates bring extensive enterprise architecture experience, strong stakeholder influence, and familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Data

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Lead Solution Architect delivering enterprise-scale customer-focused technology solutions.
• Strong experience across CRM, CDP, marketing tech and digital customer engagement ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of customer identity, consent management, customer data and personalisation architectures.
• Experience integrating CRM/CDP with digital channels, enterprise apps and data platforms.
• Excellent knowledge of API-led, event-driven and cloud-native architecture principles.
• Experience defining architecture roadmaps, blueprints and target-state operating models.
• Strong understanding of TOGAF or equivalent.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in large-scale digital transformation, customer experience or retail technology programmes.
• Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, Braze, Adobe or Tealium is highly beneficial.
• 8+ years' technology experience delivering enterprise-scale architecture solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture across CRM, customer data, personalisation and customer engagement capabilities.
• Define architecture roadmaps, target-state designs and transition strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Establish solution patterns, integration standards and architectural guardrails across the customer technology ecosystem.
• Design scalable solutions for customer identity, consent management and unified customer profiles.
• Collaborate with Digital, Marketing, Data, Engineering and Security teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.
• Drive API-first, event-driven and cloud-native approaches across customer-facing platforms.
• Assess impact of new capabilities, regulatory requirements and customer experience initiatives.
• Provide architectural governance, design assurance and technical leadership throughout delivery lifecycles.
• Support platform and vendor evaluations, technology selection and architecture decisions.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies and delivery considerations across multiple workstreams.
• Produce and maintain architecture artefacts including blueprints and target-state models.
• Engage senior stakeholders to communicate decisions and strategic direction.

We're looking for an experienced Lead Solution Architect to provide architectural leadership across customer engagement, CRM and customer data initiatives, helping to shape the future of Primark's digital customer experience landscape.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in defining architecture strategy across customer identity, customer data, personalisation, loyalty and marketing technology platforms. You'll work closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure and customer-centric solutions that support Primark's ambitious growth agenda.

What you'll be doing

• Leading end-to-end solution architecture across CRM, customer data, personalisation and customer engagement capabilities

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Lead Solution Architect delivering enterprise-scale customer-focused technology solutions
• Strong experience across CRM, Customer Data Platforms (CDP), marketing technology and digital customer engagement ecosystems
• Deep understanding of customer identity, consent management, customer data and personalisation architectures
• Experience integrating CRM and customer data platforms with digital channels, enterprise applications and data platforms
• Strong knowledge of API-led, event-driven and cloud-native architecture principles
• Experience defining architecture roadmaps, solution blueprints and target-state operating models
• Strong understanding of solution architecture frameworks and best practices, including TOGAF or equivalent
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working across large-scale digital transformation, customer experience or retail technology programmes
• Knowledge of technologies such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, Braze, Adobe, Tealium or similar customer engagement platforms would be highly beneficial
• 8+ years' technology experience, including significant experience delivering enterprise-scale architecture solutions
