Job summary

VIQU IT Recruitment seeks a senior Solution Architect for ERP leadership. Based in the UK with remote-hybrid options, you will own the strategy across a global ERP estate, guiding architecture, platform direction and delivery across Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Engineering.

You will shape future-state ERP designs, drive standardisation, and partner with executive stakeholders to realise transformation programmes. Excellent ERP and cloud experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect focused on ERP environments.
• Expert ERP experience across Dynamics 365 Finance & SCM and/or JD Edwards 9.2.
• Proven track record delivering ERP implementations, transformations or platform modernisation.

Responsibilities

• Define future ERP architecture, vision and strategic direction.
• Own ERP platform roadmap and lead solution design across transformation programmes.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure ERP solutions.
• Drive ERP standardisation and adoption of platform capabilities.

Solution Architect - ERP

UK & Selected EMEA Locations - Remote Hybrid for Cheltenham-based candidates

£90,000 - £100,000 + £9,000 Car Allowance + Benefits

Open to candidates based in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, the Nordics, Italy, Poland, Egypt, Czech Republic, Hungary, Spain, Austria or Turkey.

VIQU are partnering with a global organisation undergoing significant transformation across its ERP and wider technology landscape. They are seeking a senior Solution Architect to act as the lead ERP subject matter expert, owning the strategic direction and roadmap across a complex global ERP estate. This is a highly influential role spanning architecture, platform strategy and delivery, helping to modernise ERP capabilities and shape solutions across Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities of the Solution Architect - ERP:

• Act as the lead ERP Solution Architect, defining the future architecture, functional vision and strategic direction of the ERP landscape
• Own the ERP platform roadmap and lead solution design across major transformation, modernisation and implementation programmes
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure and sustainable ERP solutions
• Drive ERP standardisation and best practice, challenging unnecessary customisation and encouraging adoption of existing platform capabilities
• Provide architectural direction across JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and integrations with wider enterprise platforms
• Evaluate emerging technologies across Azure, low-code, Microsoft Copilot and AI Agent-based solutions
• Partner with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, technology vendors and implementation partners, influencing technology decisions up to C‑suite level

Key Experience Required of the Solution Architect - ERP:

• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect, with your current or most recent role focused on Solution Architecture within ERP environments
• Expert‑level ERP experience, ideally across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management and/or JD Edwards 9.2
• Recent, demonstrable experience architecting and delivering a new ERP implementation, major ERP transformation or platform modernisation
• Strong experience within global Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Engineering environments, with an understanding of how ERP supports complex operational processes
• Proven ownership of ERP platform strategy and roadmaps, including defining future‑state architecture and influencing long‑term technology direction
• Previous experience working within a consultancy or Systems Integrator, ideally leading complex client engagements and ERP transformation programmes
• Strong Microsoft Azure architecture experience, including integrating ERP with cloud and wider enterprise platforms
• Experience designing integrated enterprise landscapes spanning ERP, CRM, MDM and associated business systems
• Experience driving ERP standardisation, reducing unnecessary customisation and influencing stakeholders towards global platform capabilities
• Exposure to low-code, Microsoft Copilot, AI Agents or other AI‑enabled solutions within ERP or enterprise environments
• Proven experience operating across global, multi‑country programmes and influencing senior stakeholders up to C‑suite level
