Role: Solution Architect (Cards & Payment)

Location: Northampton, UK (Hybrid: 2-3 days onsite/week)

Contract: Inside IR35

Rate: 445 GBP/Day

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Expertise in architecting solutions across Cards-related technologies, Open Banking, Tokenization
• Proven ability to thrive in unstructured, ambiguous environments; adaptable to influence outcomes
• Experience managing diverse stakeholders and influencing conflicting objectives to deliver pragmatic solutions
• Knowledge of financial services business and applications
• Ability to present complex technical ideas clearly, both written and verbal
• Banking (retail) experience
• Experience working in highly regulated environments
• Exposure to API design strategies for internal and external use
• Experience with Cloud technologies; AWS Solution Architect certification (foundation level or higher)
• Understanding of ITIL principles and working with service management teams
• Application/Infrastructure/Enterprise Architecture training and certification (e.g., TOGAF)
• Data architecture and migration experience is beneficial

Primary Responsibilities:

• Define and document technical solutions for Cards-related applications, middleware, and customer-facing integrations
• Lead liaison with business clients to shape ideas into comprehensive requirements
• Support design and integration throughout the software development lifecycle
• Drive collaboration across design and build teams, ensuring adherence to defined design
• Maintain technical integrity and quality of applications aligned with architecture strategy
