Job summary

M&G seeks a Solution Architect for the Life Architecture domain who will translate business and technology requirements into pragmatic, end-to-end architectures across customer and colleague experiences, applications, data and security.

The role is delivery-focused, business-facing and involves collaboration with stakeholders, architects and third parties to shape options and ensure architectural assurance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect within a complex organisation, ideally financial services or another regulated environment.
• Experience designing end-to-end solutions across applications, integration, data, security, digital and cloud technologies.
• Experience designing solutions using SaaS, COTS and cloud services.
• Knowledge of modern integration approaches.
• Ability to structure complex or ambiguous problems into clear architectural choices and recommendations.
• Experience assessing technology and vendor options balancing value, cost, risk, reuse and future flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and communicate end-to-end solution architectures.
• Define target-state views and delivery roadmaps for areas of change.
• Assess build, buy and reuse options and make clear recommendations.
• Ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise architecture and standards.
• Provide design governance and assurance throughout delivery.
• Give pragmatic technology advice to stakeholders across business and IT.
• Design data and integration architectures leveraging governed data and reusable patterns.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI and emerging technologies with proper governance.
