We are currently recruiting for a global financial services provider, for the role of Solution Architect (Payments). It’s an exciting new opportunity to work for a recognised leader that have been in operation for over 100 years and now have over 14 million active customers and currently going through an exciting transformation phase!

ROLE OVERVIEW

Location: Hybrid – 3 locations available: Milton Keynes, Glasgow, or Bradford

Package: £90,000 – £127,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits

What you’ll be doing:

• Design and deliver functional architectures for payment-focused projects, ensuring seamless system integration and compliance with architectural standards
• Review and refine technical designs from engineering teams to ensure alignment with architectural principles and best practices
• Ensure solutions meet strategic business goals and comply with relevant industry regulations and standards
• Collaborate with cross-domain engineering and architecture teams to promote best practices, reusable patterns, and innovative solutions

Main Skills/ Requirements:

• Deep expertise in payment processing systems, including gateways, MT SWIFT messaging, and ISO 20022 standards
• Demonstrated ability to define and document architectures that align technical solutions with strategic business objectives
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing multi-cloud architectures across diverse platforms
• Strong proficiency in APIs and microservices architecture, with a focus on scalability and performance
• Knowledge of international payment systems and cross-border transaction frameworks is a plus
