The Opportunity…

As a Solution Architect, you will work within an overall team of Solution Architects covering the broad scope of EDF's customer business units.

With a business domain specialism, you will own the technology roadmap for that specialism, engaging with business stakeholders to understand strategic intent and staying curious about overall technology trends and market competitors to recommend solutions.

You’ll be a key member in delivery activities and strategic roadmap responsibilities, defining end-to-end solutions and ensuring initiatives meet architectural principles and guardrails.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing and owning the architectural roadmap within your business domain, staying updated on new technologies, market trends, and business needs.
• Playing a key role in change delivery projects, working with project teams to implement technical changes aligned with business goals.
• Ensuring cost transparency and a value-focused approach to technical solutions.
• Collaborating with change agents to enhance business capabilities, sharing knowledge and ideas.
• Evaluating and recommending new solutions from the market as an informed technology buyer.
• Leading Proof of Concepts, technology trials, and proof of value activities to gain approval for innovative ideas.
• Working with software engineers to build cloud-native solutions.
• Owning and managing the architectural roadmap for your domain.

Who You Are

We seek someone with proven experience in developing and maintaining solution roadmaps to support business capabilities. You should be capable of delivering architectural design and oversight throughout the delivery lifecycle, with experience influencing senior stakeholders on solution approaches.

You need to be proactive, able to engage stakeholders at all levels, and capable of describing technology concepts in business value terms. Curiosity, creativity, and a passion for continuous learning and sharing are essential.

Experience managing multiple initiatives and prioritizing effectively is important. Experience with architectural design within an AWS native and SaaS environment is desirable. Experience in cloud-native architecture, particularly in AWS, is highly preferred.
