Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd is seeking an experienced Lead Solution Architect to own the platform and data visualisation architecture. The role blends hands-on architectural leadership with team leadership, across Architecture, DevOps, Data and Development.

The position is remote with two days per week in London (Waterloo area); BPSS clearance is required for onboarding and candidates must have five years of unbroken UK residency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in complex technology environments.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong understanding of architectural governance, standards and design reviews.
• Experience across Architecture, DevOps, Data and Development functions.
• BPSS clearance eligibility and UK residency of 5+ years.

Responsibilities

• Own the solution architecture for the platform and data visualisation components.
• Embed scalability, security, and performance across the solution.
• Ensure alignment with DSA architectural governance.
• Define and maintain architectural standards and best practices.
• Conduct architectural reviews and document key design decisions.
• Lead a multidisciplinary technical team across Architecture, DevOps, Data and Development.
• Act as the escalation point for technical challenges and blockers.
• Communicate leadership direction and strategic objectives to the project team.
• Support team development through mentoring and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with Delivery Leads, Business Analysts and Product Leads.
• Advise on technical complexity, feasibility and delivery timelines.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Solution Architect to take ownership of solution architecture across a platform and associated data visualisation components.

You will be responsible for ensuring scalability, security and performance are embedded throughout the solution while maintaining alignment with architectural governance and project standards.

This position combines hands-on architecture leadership with team leadership responsibilities, working closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
