Job summary

Ganymede Solutions is seeking an experienced SolidWorks Design Engineer to design, modify and develop food process equipment for a busy production environment in Peterborough. This 12-month contract focuses on creating robust 3D models, assemblies and drawings from process requirements, P&IDs and technical specs.

You will work with process, project and manufacturing teams to ensure equipment meets hygienic design standards and integrates with wider plant systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and modifying process equipment or industrial machinery.
• Strong hands-on SolidWorks experience for 3D models and drawings.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and process requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and modify food process equipment.
• Create and modify 3D models, assemblies and drawings in SolidWorks.
• Interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams and specifications.
• Collaborate with process, project and manufacturing teams.
• Review and update technical documentation and drawings.
• Ensure equipment meets hygienic design and food safety standards.
• Visit customer and manufacturing sites for requirements and surveys.
• Liaise with suppliers and third-party designers.
