JTH Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Design CAD Engineer to join our engineering client in Peterborough, offering a competitive salary, overtime, a pension scheme and private health care.

The role focuses on inception to completion design and draughting for food processing lines, developing models, sheet-metal formations, and hygienic design standards, with occasional UK/foreign site surveys.

Qualifications

• 3D SolidWorks proficiency with industrial fabrication drawings.
• Experience in equipment & steelwork design and fabrication.
• Min 3 years industrial experience.
• HNC / HND in engineering.
• Willing to travel UK/overseas.
• Commercial awareness and value engineering.
• Excellent people skills and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and draughting for food processing lines.
• Develop models and fabrication drawings for sheet-metal and structural steelwork.
• Ensure hygienic, food-safe design standards are met.
• Conduct site surveys and liaise with project teams as needed.
