Sills & Betteridge LLP in Lincoln invites a Criminal Solicitor/Legal Executive to join a respected regional firm. You will manage your own caseload, mainly at Police Stations and Magistrates’ Courts, delivering clear, pragmatic advice with confidence and professionalism.

Police Station Accreditation is desirable but not essential; support will be available. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for travel to stations and courts.

Qualifications

• Qualified Criminal Solicitor or Legal Executive with Criminal Law experience.
• Excellent client care, ability to work independently with team support.
• Willing to travel to Police Stations and Courts; driving licence required.

Responsabilités

• Managing your own criminal caseload from Police Station attendance through to Magistrates’ Court proceedings
• Advising clients clearly and empathetically during time-critical situations
• Preparing cases efficiently in line with legal and regulatory requirements
• Building strong relationships with clients, colleagues and external agencies
• Traveling to Police Stations and Courts as required

ROLE: Solicitor/Legal Executive (Crime)

LOCATION: Lincoln

SALARY: Competitive based on Experience

HOURS: 9am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday

This is an excellent opportunity for a Criminal Solicitor/Legal Executive to join a respected and well‑established regional law firm, supporting clients across Lincolnshire at key stages of the criminal justice process.

You will manage your own caseload, working primarily within Police Stations and the Magistrates’ Courts, delivering clear, pragmatic advice with confidence and professionalism. Police Station Accreditation is desirable but not essential, and support will be available for the right individual.

This role suits someone who enjoys autonomy, values client care, and wants to be part of a supportive and collaborative criminal law team.

You will undertake the following but not limited to:

• Managing your own criminal caseload from Police Station attendance through to Magistrates’ Court proceedings
• Advising clients clearly and empathetically during often time‑critical situations
• Preparing cases efficiently and in line with legal and regulatory requirements
• Building strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and external agencies
• Travelling to Police Stations and Courts as required (a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential)
