The successful candidate will manage a varied criminal caseload, conduct legal research, and provide clear legal advice throughout the criminal justice process, with a focus on achieving the best outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 1–3 years’ PQE in criminal law.
• Strong knowledge of criminal law, procedures, and regulations.
• Experience independently managing a varied criminal caseload.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Committed to delivering high-quality client service and achieving positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of criminal matters, including theft, assault, drug offences, and other criminal offences.
• Conduct legal research, analyse case law, and prepare legal arguments to support clients’ cases.
• Provide clear and effective legal advice to clients throughout the criminal justice process.
• Represent clients in Magistrates’ Court proceedings and advocate effectively on their behalf.
• Prepare and present cases, with a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.
• Liaise with clients, barristers, and other professionals to ensure effective case management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and legal documentation.
