Job summary

Law Staff Ltd, a Legal 500 and Chambers ranked firm, is seeking a Crime Solicitor to join their dynamic team in the UK. The role offers hybrid working, 28 days’ holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas/New Year, a birthday day off, healthcare, admin support, a firm laptop and mobile, annual appraisals and salary reviews, and other incentives.

You will manage a caseload of criminal matters, provide clear advice, advocate in Magistrates' Court, liaise with clients and colleagues, and maintain

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of criminal law, procedures and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience independently managing a varied criminal caseload.
• Strong advocacy and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of criminal matters (theft, assault, drug offences).
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal arguments.
• Provide clear legal advice throughout the criminal process.
• Represent clients in Magistrates' Court and advocate effectively.
• Prepare and present cases to achieve the best outcomes.
• Liaise with clients, barristers and professionals for case management.
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation.

• Represent clients in Magistrates' Court proceedings and advocate effectively on their behalf.
• Prepare and present cases, with a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.
• Liaise with clients, barristers, and other professionals to ensure effective case management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and legal documentation.

Requirements for this Crime Solicitor role

• Qualified Solicitor with 1-3 years' PQE in criminal law.
• Strong knowledge of criminal law, procedures, and regulations.
• Experience independently managing a varied criminal caseload.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
