We are currently recruiting for a solicitor with experience in commercial insurance work, to join the nationally recognised insurance team based in London or Manchester. The work the team handles includes policy coverage, property damage, product liability, personal injury (limited), reinsurance and subrogated recovery. Our work spans numerous jurisdictions, and our team is an important part of our global network.

The role can be based from either our London or Manchester office, and we offer a hybrid working arrangement with 2 or 3 days working from the office and 2 or 3 days from home.

About the role

Responsibilities

• Ensuring, in conjunction with the partner, that cases are progressed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
• Working with our valued and long-standing clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice.
• Prioritising work effectively and maximising efficiency in working practices
• Building stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
• Developing your technical and commercial knowledge via training or working practices.

About you

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• 3 or more years post-qualification experience of handling commercial insurance / property disputes (insurance focussed)
• Experience of working within a busy commercial environment, handling a varied caseload
• Strong technical and commercial expertise, including a thorough grasp of principles and case law
• The ability to develop new skills and to use your initiative, with the support of an experienced team
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
