SettleParadigm is recruiting a Solicitor with at least one year PQE to join its in-house Legal Services team in Buckinghamshire. The role covers housing, property and related matters, managing a mixed caseload and representing the organisation in court and tribunals.

The position offers hybrid working (two days in the office, three from home), a permanent contract, 37 hours per week, and a strong commitment to professional development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Admitted Solicitor of England and Wales with current practising certificate.
• Minimum of one year post-qualification experience.
• Experience advising on housing or property matters.
• Understanding of housing management law.
• Experience supporting or representing clients in hearings.
• Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience within a housing association or social housing practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice on housing, property and related matters.
• Manage a varied caseload including contentious and non-contentious work.
• Draft and negotiate deeds of variation, easements, licences, commercial contracts and tenancy‑related documentation.
• Represent SettleParadigm at court, tribunal and other hearings.
• Lead cases from instruction to resolution, including instructing external counsel.
• Maintain compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct.
• Support governance, risk reporting and legal processes.
• Contribute to the Legal Risk Register and deliver training where required.
• Support continuous improvement and legal awareness across the organisation.

We are now recruiting a Solicitor with a minimum of one year post‑qualification experience. This role is ideal for someone looking to build their expertise, manage a varied caseload and develop within a supportive in‑house legal environment.

About the role

You will provide clear, practical legal advice across housing, property and related matters. You will manage a mixed caseload including leasehold management, commercial contracts, data protection issues and property‑related litigation. You will also represent SettleParadigm at court, tribunal and other hearings when required.

What we’re looking for

Essential

• Admitted Solicitor of England and Wales with a current practising certificate (or Barrister with equivalent experience)
• Minimum of one year post‑qualification experience
• Experience advising on housing or property matters
• Understanding of contentious and non‑contentious housing law
• Experience supporting or representing clients in hearings
• Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and housing management law
• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to explain legal risk clearly to non‑legal audiences
• Experience using case management systems
• Experience within a housing association, local authority or social housing practice

Desired

• Experience delivering training or supporting operational teams
• Experience with data protection, development or regeneration matters
