Job summary

HCB Solicitors Limited is seeking an experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor to join our Criminal Law team in Warrington. The role involves handling a varied caseload for legal aid and privately funded clients, conducting advocacy in Magistrates Court, and managing Crown Court cases.

You will attend court hearings and represent clients at police stations, liaise with colleagues, courts and clients, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while driving cases forward and providing clear

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor in order to expand our Criminal Law team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, handling a varied caseload.

You will be:

• Managing a varied caseload of criminal matters for a mix of legal aid and privately funded clients
• Conducting advocacy in Magistrates Court
• Managing a caseload of Crown Court cases
• Attending court hearings and representing clients at police stations
• Liaising with other solicitors in the team, clients, courts and third parties
• Progressing cases efficiently
• Preparing clear, accurate documentation and providing legal advice
• Supporting and contributing to team objectives
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards
• Solicitor with experience in criminal law
