Reed is seeking an experienced Criminal Duty Solicitor to join its growing team in England. You will represent clients at police stations, Magistrates’ Courts and throughout the criminal justice process, managing a varied defence caseload from instruction to conclusion.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
• Experience managing a criminal defence caseload.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients at police stations, Magistrates' Courts, and throughout the criminal justice process.
• Manage a varied criminal defence caseload from instruction to conclusion.
• Undertake Duty Solicitor rota commitments.
• Prepare cases for hearings and trials, including reviewing evidence and liaising with Counsel.
• Provide clear, practical legal advice and maintain exceptional client care.
• Ensure compliance with Legal Aid Agency and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the continued success and reputation of the department.
