Job summary

HF in Manchester is seeking a Counter Fraud Solicitor to join our Media City team on a hybrid basis. You will manage a complex, litigated fraud caseload focusing on motor fraud and advocate at hearings, while aligning with client expectations and case management systems.

The role suits applicants with counter‑fraud insurance exposure, PI claims knowledge, and a proactive, collaborative approach; HF emphasizes professional growth and flexible working.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a full and varied caseload in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Personal Injury claims; defendant experience is desirable.
• Background in counter-fraud insurance work preferred.
• Open to solicitors, legal executives, or experienced non-qualified claims handlers.
• Strong organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and target-driven.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and creative problem-solving; strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own caseload of complex, litigated non‑DA fraud matters
• Handling predominantly hourly rate motor fraud claims through to resolution
• Ensuring claims are progressed professionally, efficiently, and in line with client expectations
• Working within our case management system to maintain accuracy and compliance
• Meeting MI reporting requirements and adhering to Client Service Level Agreements
• Conducting advocacy at applications and Case Management Conferences where required
• Maintaining up-to-date legal knowledge through training and sharing insights with colleagues and clients
