Job summary

Goddard Veterinary Group seeks a confident GP vet to work between two practices, providing consistency to clients and teams on a weekly rota. The role is split between Croydon and New Addington with full clinical support from Stone Lion Hospital for referrals and OOH care.

You will manage consultations, surgery and medications in line with GVG protocols, while maintaining thorough notes and collaborating with RVNs. The position offers a clear career path and regional support.

Qualifications

• Carry out consultations with pets, with evidence-based management and treatment per GVG protocols.
• Perform surgery on cases as appropriate within personal competence and overnight care limits.
• Maintain, prescribe and dispense medications in accordance with medicines legislation and RCVS guidance.
• Record accurate clinical notes and ensure that pets' histories are comprehensive and useful to colleagues.
• Refer cases in a timely manner to a GVG Hospital when unable to undertake a case.
• Help to maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment.
• Work alongside your RVN to ensure clinic SOPs are scheduled and actioned.
• Oversee the consulting and surgical/diagnostic diary in line with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistency across two practices with a split rota.
• Be rota'd to Croydon and New Addington with ~36.7 hours per week, potential for up to 40.
• No on-call requirements; full clinical support from Stone Lion Hospital for referrals and OOH.
