Job summary

South-West-Recruitment is recruiting a Permanent Solderer to join a long-established electronics manufacturer in Blandford Forum, Dorset. The role welcomes applicants with any level of PCB or cable soldering experience and offers a friendly production team environment.

Working in a busy production area, you will solder PCBs or cable assemblies, follow drawings, and maintain high quality standards. IPC certification is a bonus but not essential. Overtime is available with enhanced rates.

Qualifications

• Experience in PCB or cable soldering at any level.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Able to follow engineering drawings or assembly instructions.
• IPC certification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Soldering PCBs and/or cable assemblies to specifications.
• Follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
• Carry out through-hole soldering and cable termination.
• Inspect own work to ensure high quality.
• Assemble electronic components and sub-assemblies.
• Identify and report any quality issues.
• Work with colleagues to achieve production targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience
Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Monday - Thursday: 9.00am - 5.00pm
Friday: 9.00am - 4.00pm

We are recruiting for a Permanent Solderer to join a long-established electronics manufacturer based in Blandford Forum, Dorset.

We welcome applications from candidates with any level of PCB or cable soldering experience, whether you've recently gained your skills or have many years of experience.

The Role

Working within a busy production environment, you will be responsible for producing high-quality electronic assemblies to customer specifications.

Your duties will include:

• Soldering printed circuit boards (PCBs) and/or cable assemblies.
• Working from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
• Carrying out through-hole soldering and cable termination.
• Inspecting your own work to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
• Assembling electronic components and sub-assemblies.
• Identifying and reporting any quality issues.
• Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous PCB or cable soldering experience at any level.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• The ability to follow engineering drawings or assembly instructions.
• A commitment to producing high-quality work.
• A reliable and positive attitude.
• The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a production team.

IPC certification would be advantageous but is not essential.
