LA International Computer Consultants Ltd is seeking a Solaris Engineer for remote working in the United Kingdom. Must have an Active SC Clearance.

You will provide 3rd line technical support for Solaris UNIX infrastructure, automate with Shell scripts, and assist with cloud-based services. The role requires strong Solaris and UNIX/Linux troubleshooting skills, experience with virtualization, and the ability to work in a 24/7 live-service environment.

Competenze

• Significant hands-on experience supporting Solaris UNIX operating systems.
• Strong Solaris infrastructure knowledge, including virtualisation technologies.
• Proven 3rd Line UNIX/Linux infrastructure support experience.
• Strong UNIX Shell Scripting and automation capabilities.
• Experience troubleshooting complex UNIX operating system and infrastructure issues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical investigation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing operational priorities.
• Understanding of cloud computing and infrastructure service delivery.
• Knowledge of Storage Area Networks (SAN) would be highly advantageous.
• Experience with ACM, CA, Opsview or Veritas NetBackup would be highly desirable.
• Operational experience with IBM AIX, SUSE Linux or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) would be beneficial.
• Experience supporting secure, business-critical infrastructure environments would be advantageous.

Solaris Engineer Responsibilities
