Job summary

Alecto Recruitment Ltd is hiring an experienced Roofer / Solar Installer to work on Solar PV installations for domestic properties across Southampton and the surrounding Hampshire area. You will handle roofing aspects, mount and string PV panels, and route DC cabling as required.

Training is provided; PV-specific experience is desirable but not essential. A CSCS card, full UK driving licence, and ability to commute to the Southampton/Portsmouth area are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified roofer or PV installer preferred.
• PV-specific experience not essential (training provided).
• Must be comfortable working at heights and with basic scaffold setup.
• Experience with slate, plain, and pan tiles is desirable.
• Hold City and Guilds or NVQ certificates; CSCS card required.

Responsibilities

• Mounting and stringing solar PV panels on residential sites.
• Install DC cabling and trunking per layout.
• Roofing work integral to Solar PV installations across Hampshire area.

Alecto Recruitment Ltd is working closely with one of our clients who are a specialist in renewable energy installations for both domestic and commercial clients.

Operating within Hampshire, they specialise in Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charge point installations.

Due to their continued growth we are looking to hire an experienced Roofer / Solar Installer to join the team.

Job Role

• Responsible for the roofing side of Solar PV installations and to mainly residential / domestic properties.
• Mounting and stringing of solar PV panels.
• Installing DC cabling and trunking to the required layout.
• Working throughout Hampshire and surrounding areas - Southampton, Portsmouth, Fareham etc.

What We Are Looking For

• Ideally previous experience as a qualified roofer / or installing Solar PV systems
• Training provided - therefore specific solar pv experience is not essential, just desired
• Working at heights and basic scaffold certification is ideal
• Experience with slate, plain and pan tiles desired
• Ideally you'll hold relevant City and Guilds, or NVQ certificates.
• CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence
• You'll need to live commutable to the Southampton, Portsmouth or Hampshire area
• Company Van
• Monday to Friday as standard - 40 hour week
• Full time and Fully Employed
