Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a Solar Installation Electrician for projects across domestic and commercial properties in the UK. You will install, test and commission solar PV systems, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.

The role requires 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, and a valid UK driving licence. You will work with other installers and trades to deliver high standards and complete certification and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Inspection & Testing qualification such as 2391 or equivalent is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider installation team.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire solar PV systems across domestic and commercial properties.
• Carry out electrical connections, including inverters, isolators and consumer units.
• Test, inspect and commission solar PV systems.
• Ensure installations comply with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
• Collaborate with roofers and other installation teams during solar panel installations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults within solar PV systems.
• Complete all certification, testing and installation documentation.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, workmanship and professionalism on site.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with electrical regulations and company procedures.
