Job summary

KPI Recruiting is recruiting for a Solar PV Electrician to join a fast-growing residential solar division in Coventry. You will install, test and commission domestic Solar PV systems, handling AC/DC wiring, inverters and battery storage, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires 18th edition, NVQ 3 electrical installation, and proven domestic Solar PV experience. A full UK driving licence is essential and a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Domestic electrical installation experience is required.
• Proven Solar PV installation and commissioning experience.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission domestic Solar PV systems.
• Complete AC and DC wiring, inverter installations and consumer unit connections.
• Configure inverters, battery storage systems and monitoring platforms.
• Carry out electrical testing, fault finding and diagnostics.
• Ensure installations comply with BS7671, MCS and G98/G99 regulations.
• Complete commissioning certificates and installation documentation.
• Liaise with installation teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
• Deliver a professional handover to customers and explain system operation.

The Role

• Installing, testing and commissioning domestic Solar PV systems
• Completing AC and DC wiring, inverter installations and consumer unit connections
• Configuring inverters, battery storage systems and monitoring platforms
• Carrying out electrical testing, fault finding and diagnostics
• Ensuring all installations comply with BS7671, MCS and G98/G99 regulations
• Completing commissioning certificates and installation documentation
• Liaising with installation teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently
• Delivering a professional handover to customers, explaining system operation and answering any questions
• Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety and customer service

What We're Looking For
