Job summary

Birchwell Associates is seeking an experienced Solar Electrician to join our growing renewable energy team in Devon. This hands-on role focuses on installing, testing and commissioning Solar PV and battery storage systems across domestic and commercial sites.

You will work from electrical drawings, ensure compliance with BS 7671, and deliver high-quality installations while prioritising safety. A full UK driving licence and 18th Edition are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience as an electrician with strong installation, testing and fault-finding.
• Experience with Solar PV installations.
• Full UK driving licence.
• 18th Edition.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission Solar PV systems.
• Battery storage installation.
• Inverter installation and connection.
• AC electrical works for renewable energy systems.
• Testing, inspection and certification.
• Fault finding and remedial works.
• Liaise with customers, site teams and project management.
• Work from electrical drawings and ensure BS 7671 compliance.
• Maintain high health and safety standards.
