Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd is recruiting an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join a growing national business. You will be responsible for the electrical installation, testing and commissioning of residential Solar PV and battery storage systems.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a company vehicle and equipment provided, plus ongoing training and development as the renewable energy division expands within a major UK organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Inspection & Testing qualification – 2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent.
• Domestic electrical installation experience; EV charging experience desirable.
• Previous Solar PV installation and commissioning experience.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning domestic Solar PV systems and battery storage.
• AC and DC wiring and consumer unit connections.
• Installing inverters and battery storage configurations.
• Electrical testing, fault finding, and diagnostics.
• Ensuring compliance with BS 7671, MCS and G98/G99.
• Completing commissioning certificates and documentation.
• Coordination with the wider installation team and customer handovers.
• Maintain high workmanship, health & safety and customer service standards.

We're recruiting for an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join a leading national business as they continue to expand their residential renewable energy division.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the electrical installation, testing and commissioning of residential Solar PV and battery storage systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Installing and commissioning domestic Solar PV systems
• Completing AC and DC wiring and consumer unit connections
• Installing and configuring inverters and battery storage systems
• Electrical testing, fault finding and diagnostics
• Ensuring installations comply with BS 7671, MCS and G98/G99 requirements
• Completing commissioning certificates and installation documentation
• Working closely with the wider installation team
• Carrying out professional customer handovers
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, health & safety and customer service
