Job summary

Cahill Corporation Ltd T/A Cahill Renewables in Colchester is seeking a skilled Solar PV Electrician to join our expanding installation team. The successful candidate will perform installations and maintenance for Solar PV and Battery Storage systems.

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, a company van, fuel card, pension scheme, 28 days holiday, and ongoing training. Applicants must reside near Colchester for daily attendance at our yard.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 years' experience in the Solar PV industry.
• Strong understanding of Solar PV systems and electrical works.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Solar PV and Battery Storage installations.
• Perform electrical testing, commissioning, and maintenance works.
• Report to the Colchester yard to collect equipment before site work.

About Us

Cahill Corporation Ltd T/A Cahill Renewables is a rapidly growing renewable energy company based in Colchester, specialising in the design and installation of Solar PV, Battery Storage and Renewable Energy systems across domestic, social housing and commercial sectors.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join our installation team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out Solar PV and Battery Storage installations, electrical testing, commissioning, fault finding and maintenance works across a variety of projects.

You will be required to report to our Colchester yard each morning to collect equipment and materials before travelling to site.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 years' experience working within the Solar PV industry
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• ECS Gold Card (preferred but not essential)
• AM2 qualification (or working towards)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong understanding of Solar PV systems and associated electrical works
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Solar PV Installation qualification (preferred but not essential)
• Battery Storage installation experience (preferred but not essential)
• Testing & Inspection qualifications (2391 or equivalent)(preferred but not essential)
• Experience with major inverter and battery manufacturers such as Fox ESS, Sigenergy, Tesla and SolarEdge is an advantag

Location Requirement

Applicants must live close to Colchester, as daily attendance at our Colchester yard is required.
