Job summary

Robinson Brown Search Limited seeks a skilled Electrician to join a Midlands-based team as a Solar PV Technician/service engineer. You will install, maintain and repair solar, battery storage systems and EV charging points across residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

The role includes wiring, commissioning, fault diagnosis, drone operation, and coordination with manufacturers. Safe work practices and compliance with current wiring regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified to minimum level 3.
• CSCS/ECS card.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• QS for NICEIC.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
• 2922-34 Installing and maintaining solar PV systems.
• 2923-34 installing and maintaining battery storage systems.
• 2921-31 Electric vehicle charging qualification.
• Manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Wire solar, battery storage systems and EV charge points.
• Work on commercial and domestic systems.
• Commissioning solar, battery and EV charging systems.
• Trouble shooting and fault diagnosis.
• Operating drone camera.
• Liaising with manufacturer's technical departments for troubleshooting.

Solar PV Technician/service engineer - All projects within 1hr radius of the Midlands.

My client is seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join their Midlands-based team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar, battery storage systems and components in residential, commercial, or industrial environments. You must be able to diagnose problems accurately and ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with current standards and wiring regulations.
