Job summary

Multitask Personnel is seeking a qualified Installation Electrician to join a growing team working on commercial solar PV and EV charging installations. You will install, test, and commission systems across the UK, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, and a full UK driving license, with experience in solar PV/EV points and the ability to read electrical drawings. Permanent, full-time position with competitive benefits.

• Commercial-only electrician background
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• CSCS/ECS card
• Full UK driving license
• Proven experience installing electrical systems, ideally including solar PV and EV charge points
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings

Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission solar PV systems and EV charging points to industry and company standards
• Carry out AC and DC electrical wiring, including inverters, isolators and distribution boards
• Install associated hardware including mounting systems, conduit, trunking and cable containment
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site during and after installation
• Complete required documentation and electrical certificates (e.g. EIC, EICR)
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), Part P, and relevant OZEV or MCS standards
• Carry out risk assessments and follow company and site-specific health and safety procedures
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients on-site
• Collaborate with project managers, designers and other members of the installation team

• Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum DOE (OTE £65,000–£70,000)

About This Opportunity

We're looking for a qualified and experienced Installation Electrician to join a growing team working across commercial solar photovoltaics (PV) and electric vehicle (EV) charging installations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercial electrician to specialise further in the renewables space, working nationwide on the safe, efficient and high-quality installation, testing and commissioning of solar panels, inverters, battery storage systems and EV chargers.

About You

Essential

• City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Testing & Inspection)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• CSCS/ECS card
• Full UK driving license
• Proven experience installing electrical systems, ideally including solar PV and EV charge points
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings

Desirable

• MCS accreditation experience (or familiarity with MCS-compliant work)
• EV Charger Installation training (e.g. City & Guilds 2919)
• Experience with battery storage systems
• Working at Height, Manual Handling and Asbestos Awareness training
