Job summary

Impact Energy Partners is seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to oversee the delivery of large-scale ground‑mounted solar farms across the UK, from inception through energisation and handover. The role requires driving cradle‑to‑grave delivery, leading cross‑functional teams and ensuring safety, schedule and budgets are met.

The first project will be in Buckinghamshire with further schemes nationwide, requiring flexibility to travel and stay away as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering UK ground-mounted solar PV projects.
• Demonstrated cradle-to-grave project delivery across planning, construction and handover.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale renewable energy construction.
• Willingness to travel across multiple UK locations.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for safe and successful delivery of utility-scale solar PV projects.
• Lead projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
• Manage project teams including site managers, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop and manage programmes, budgets and resource plans.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to high safety standards.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.

Ground Mount Solar | Utility Scale Projects

About the Role

Our client is a leading renewable energy contractor delivering large-scale solar projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Solar Project Manager to oversee the delivery of utility-scale ground mounted solar farms from inception through to energisation and handover.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who has successfully delivered UK solar projects from cradle to grave and is comfortable managing projects nationwide.

The first project will be located in Buckinghamshire, however future schemes will be situated across the UK, therefore flexibility to travel and stay away when required is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of utility-scale solar PV projects.
• Manage projects through the complete lifecycle, from pre-construction and planning through to commissioning and final handover.
• Lead project teams including Site Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
• Develop and manage project programmes, budgets and resource plans.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, DNOs and key stakeholders.

Requirements

Essential

• Proven experience delivering ground mounted solar PV projects in the UK.
• Demonstrable experience managing projects from cradle to grave.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale renewable energy construction.
• Willingness to travel and work across multiple UK project locations.

Desirable

• SMSTS.
• NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
• Experience working on projects ranging from 10MW to 100MW+.
