Job summary

Uniper is seeking a Project Development Manager - Solar (12 Month Fixed Term) to lead utility-scale solar and energy storage development across the UK and Ireland, guiding projects from origination to Final Investment Decision. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, regulatory understanding and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in development of utility-scale renewable energy projects (solar and storage).
• Understanding of all stages of project development from origination to FID.
• Proven track record delivering renewables projects through milestones.
• Knowledge of UK/Irish planning, permitting and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility-scale solar and BESS project development across UK/Ireland and other Uniper markets.
• Manage full development lifecycle from origination through Final Investment Decision.
• Secure and manage land, permitting, environmental, grid connection workstreams.
• Lead external partners to meet objectives, schedules and budgets.
• Guide design/consenting activities and discharge of consent conditions.
• Support due diligence and assess maturity, risks, and value creation.
• Monitor regulatory, planning, and market developments; ensure compliance.
• Build relationships with landowners, authorities, grid operators and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, and other teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and standards.
