Job summary

Adore Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced mobile Solar PV Engineer to join a growing renewable energy business. You will install and maintain Solar PV systems and battery storage across domestic properties, with autonomy and responsibility.

The role requires C&G Level 2/3 electrical qualification, 18th Edition, inspection and testing, and Solar PV experience, plus a full UK driving licence. A fully expensed company van is provided, with a competitive salary and performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Electrical qualification (C&G Level 2/3).
• Experience with 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• Experience with Solar PV or renewable energy systems.
• Ability to inspect and test electrical installations.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain domestic Solar PV and battery systems.
• Carry out electrical installation, inspection and testing.
• Travel across the Home Counties and beyond as required.
• Provide a professional service in customers’ homes.
• Work independently to high standards and stay compliant.

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced mobile Solar PV Engineer to join a growing professional renewable energy business, installing and maintaining Solar PV systems and battery storage across domestic properties.

This is a great opportunity for an electrician with solid Solar PV experience who wants more autonomy, flexibility and responsibility, while working with the latest renewable energy technology.

The Role

• Installing and maintaining domestic Solar PV and battery systems
• Carrying out electrical installation, inspection and testing
• Working mainly across the Home Counties, with some travel further afield
• Occasional overnight stays may be required
• Working directly in customers’ homes and providing a professional, high-quality service
• Working independently and being trusted to complete jobs to a high standard
• Keeping installations compliant and completed safely and efficiently

What We’re Looking For

• C&G Level 2/3 Electrical qualification or equivalent – essential
• 18th Edition – essential
• Inspection & Testing experience – essential
• Previous Solar PV / renewable energy experience – essential
• Domestic Installer qualification or equivalent – desirable
• Full UK driving licence – essential
• Professional, reliable and confident working in customers’ homes
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
• Happy to travel and occasionally stay away
