Solar Electrician – Overview
Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd is currently working with one of the UK’s largest renewable energy companies, seeking a permanent Electrician to carry out Solar PV installations in the local area. The company has been established for over 15 years, specializing in the installation of renewable energy systems in domestic and light commercial properties. They are currently experiencing a period of growth, having doubled their turnover in the past four years.
Within this role, you will work in a two-man team alongside a Roofer/Panel Installer to install Solar PV systems on private domestic properties within the Yorkshire area. You will collaborate to complete installations, with the roofer installing and fixing the panels and running the cables, which the electrician will then wire up and commission. Most systems range between 6-12 panels, and some jobs will include a battery storage system.
The company has over 10 years of experience installing PV systems and employs 30+ crews nationwide. They aim to make each install as straightforward as possible for their engineers. All sites are technically surveyed before installation, with scaffolding and infrastructure set up prior to the team’s arrival. All materials are delivered to the site, with some surplus kept as spares or van stock.
You will operate throughout the Yorkshire area, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in all installations.
