Solar Electrician – Overview

Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd is currently working with one of the UK's largest renewable energy companies, seeking a permanent Electrician to carry out Solar PV installations in the local area. The company has been established for over 15 years, specializing in the installation of renewable energy systems in domestic and light commercial properties. They are experiencing a consistent period of growth, having doubled their turnover in the past four years.

Within this role, you will work in a two-man team alongside a Roofer/Panel Installer, installing Solar PV systems on private domestic properties within the Yorkshire area. You will collaborate to complete installations: the roofer will install and fix the panels and run the cables, which the electrician will then wire up and commission. Most systems range between 6-12 panels, and some jobs will include a battery storage system.

The company has over 10 years of experience installing PV systems and operates with 30+ crews nationwide. They aim to make each installation as straightforward as possible for their engineers. All sites are technically surveyed prior to installation; scaffolding and infrastructure are set up beforehand, and materials are delivered to site, including some surplus for spares and van stock.
