Job summary

Greenvolt Next is seeking an experienced Solar Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning phase of commercial & industrial and utility-scale solar PV projects in the UK. The role covers installation through energisation and handover, with close collaboration with EPC teams, clients, and DNOs on live sites.

The ideal candidate will have strong on-site commissioning experience, a solid understanding of inverter systems, SCADA networks, and grid-connection requirements, plus a track record of

Qualifications

Experience with commissioning C&I and utility-scale solar projects.
Ability to read and interpret single line diagrams, schematics, and control philosophies.
On-site commissioning on live construction sites, coordinating with EPC teams and DNOs.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute commissioning activities for C&I and utility-scale solar PV projects.
Configure and commission string inverter systems and SCADA networks.
Carry out point-to-point testing of field devices and control wiring.
Perform functional testing of plant control systems and verify sequences.
Conduct G99 commissioning and injection testing to demonstrate grid compliance.
Produce commissioning records, test reports and handover packs.
