Solar Commercial Manager Nationwide / Hybrid £55,000 - £85,000 + Generous Commission + Holiday + Pension + Car or Fuel Card + Progression + Hybrid

Are you ready to fast-track your career to Director level while earning a commission structure that could significantly boost your income? Do you want to lead game-changing renewable energy projects with the autonomy, backing, and rewards to match your ambition?

My client is a pioneering renewable energy business with over 40 years of history in delivering innovative power solutions. Today, they are driving the UK's net-zero journey, specialising in large-scale Solar PV, Voltage Optimisation, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). With nationwide reach and offices in Exeter, Leeds, Cardiff, and London, they combine technical expertise with a mission to save 1 million tonnes of CO₂ by 2025.

You will be a key member of the Senior Management Team, leading the operations and technical department while managing high-value renewable projects from conception through to completion. This includes technical oversight, stakeholder management, commercial negotiations, and securing PPAs. You'll inherit a strong project pipeline, a small team ready to grow, and the platform to progress quickly into a Director-level position while earning significant commission.

You have proven experience delivering commercial Solar PV projects, with strong leadership and team management skills. Commercially sharp and technically skilled, you can negotiate high-value agreements and oversee multiple complex projects.

The Role
  • Oversee clean energy projects from start to finish, from early-stage feasibility to operational handover.
  • Lead technical and commercial project delivery, including Solar PV, VO, and BESS.
  • Negotiate and secure power purchase agreements (PPAs) and other commercial arrangements.
  • Manage funder and stakeholder relationships to ensure project success.
  • Drive team performance and maintain project transparency through HubSpot CRM.
The Person
  • Proven experience delivering commercial Solar PV projects (including system sizes you have personally managed).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and growing teams.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills for high-value agreements.
  • Technical expertise across Solar PV, VO, and ideally BESS.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and travel across the UK when required.
