Job summary
DCC Energy GB is recruiting a Design Technician – Solar & BESS to join our growing Technical & Engineering team. You will provide essential design and production support across Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System projects, working with experienced engineers to progress from concept to as-built documentation.
This role offers a structured development pathway, exposure to market-leading renewable energy technologies, and a hybrid working arrangement to support career growth within the EPS
Qualifications
- Experience producing technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Experience in engineering, construction, building services or renewable energy environments.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering information.
Responsibilities
- Producing technical drawings, layouts and design documentation for Solar PV and BESS projects.
- Supporting development of Solar PV and BESS designs through modelling and CAD.
- Creating and maintaining design schedules, technical documentation and as-built information.
- Assisting Design Engineers with engineering calculations and design reviews.
- Collaborating with Applications, Engineering and Project Delivery teams for accurate design information.
- Supporting projects through design, construction, commissioning and handover phases.
- Contributing to continued improvement of design processes and standards.
- Developing technical expertise towards Design Engineer level.
