KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offers challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.

We are looking to recruit a Software Tester for a 6-month contract, based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Purpose of the Role

To be a key contributor in the development and testing of web-based systems supporting multiple Business Units throughout KBR globally. The successful candidate should have experience testing web-based applications, creating detailed test specifications and test plans. The candidate will develop functional test cases and scenarios by working with business stakeholders, developers, and project managers.

Core Responsibilities

• Create and maintain test scripts to evaluate functionality and performance of in-house developed product components.
• Define and report meaningful test metrics to support decision-making by the project manager and establish product acceptance criteria.
• Provide technical expertise to engineering management in developing, maintaining, and refining internal quality control and reliability programs.
• Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced test personnel.

Qualifications / Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems.
• Experience with ad hoc database queries using SQL or tools like Toad.
• Experience testing web interfaces, data load interfaces, and reports.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills to produce formal test specifications and plans.
• Analytical, problem-solving, time management, and task prioritization skills.
• Strong presentation skills for communicating test results.
• Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.
