Software Test Engineer | Remote - UK Based | Permanent | £40,000 - £50,000

People Talent has partnered with a leading global management software communications supplier.

We’re looking for a Test Engineer to join our new QA team and help improve the reliability and stability of our software. We want thinkers with a passion for testing and test automation.

You will be helping the new QA team, whose responsibilities include designing and executing manual testing, automated testing, and test plans.

You’ll work with talented engineers on challenging tasks with scope for learning advanced techniques, growth, and development. This client values hiring great people, stretching them, and fostering retention.

Required Experience:

• Ability to create, maintain, and update comprehensive documentation for testing procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guidelines.
• Root Cause Analysis: capability to identify underlying causes of issues, tracing bugs back to their source in the codebase or system architecture, and understanding why they occurred.

Nice to have experience:

• Proficiency with virtual machines (VMs), including setup, configuration, and management.
• Understanding of networking principles and protocols, with troubleshooting skills.
• Comfort with command line interfaces (CLI) across various operating systems.
• Experience in software version release management.
• Knowledge of VM testing automation.

Excellent spoken and written English is essential as you will work with international customers.
