Job Description :

• We are seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineer to join our agile Scrum team within the Satellite Communications domain.
• You will play a critical role in testing and delivering robust software solutions. This includes test automation, exploratory testing, and documentation in compliance with project standards.
• The Software Engineer shall be working within a scrum team to test in an agile development environment and contributing the delivery of software solutions in the Satellite Communications Domain.
• The Engineer will be expected to contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle and thus should have experience in technologies which are used for test automation; Java, Selenium and Cucumber.
• They will also have the knowledge to complete, independent, exploratory testing in a REST environment.
• The Engineer will also need to generate appropriate documentation for the testing they have completed, in line with the project standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute both manual and automated test cases.
• Perform validation and verification of code quality for new software products.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and estimation.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber.
• Test REST APIs using tools like Postman.
• Interpret Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) diagrams for test planning.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with project requirements.
• Support Test Readiness Boards and test reviews in coordination with the Test Lead.
• Document test results and ensure traceability to requirements.

Security & Work Environment

• Due to the nature of this role, on-site presence will be required part-time, tailored to individual and project needs.
• Candidates must be eligible to obtain or currently hold Security Clearance (SC).
• Understanding of MBSE and ability to interpret system diagrams.
• Experience contributing to innovation in testing approaches.
• Capability to adapt to evolving project requirements and deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with Agile development processes.
• Strong background in test automation with Java and Selenium.
• Practical experience testing RESTful services using Postman or similar tools.
• Familiarity with GIT, Jira, and continuous integration tools.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
